Leah has a proven track record in the commercial photography industry from Hotels, Tourism, Aged Care, Construction, Charities, Transport, Engineering, Architecture, Medical, Wedding and Hospitality, Education and Government; and always works cohesively and harmoniously with Art Directors and Marketing Teams to deliver projects on budget and on time.
Leah’s distinct point of difference is providing clear direction to people who are not used to being in front of the camera and professional models alike. She is a stickler for the smallest of details and is a very strong believer and advocate in all Elements and Principals of Design.
These are methods used to enhance and strengthen the story within the image – colour psychology, body language, leading lines, composition – nothing is left to ‘chance’ and every shot is purposeful, getting it right ‘in camera’ first!

Media, PR and Editorial Photography
If you had a quick look over at the ‘About’ pages, you will learn that Leah started her photography career in the early 90’s being the Chief Photographer of the brand new Brisbane News magazine. Brisbane’s first full colour lifestyle publication covering everything from the inspiring people of Brisbane, celebrity stories, art, food, design, fashion, homes and hundreds of events (otherwise known as the ‘opening of an envelope’)…
It was definitely the BEST ‘job’ to have to see everything new and wondrous that was happening in South East Queensland plus a decade of building strong networks and opportunities to shoot anything her creative heart and mind desired.
After that, Leah moved the London to photograph for The Times, the Mirror Group of newspapers in South London and then her final position before she came home 10 years later was being a Picture Editor for 5 UK national titles.
It’s safe to say that she is used to working under pressure and can turn around her images to ‘deadline’, caption correctly and shoot a large variety of styles to suit any specific publication.
Leah continues to work closely with PR agencies in Brisbane and nationally to provide exciting newsworthy editorial imagery to Newspapers and Magazine, plus of course directly to the PR Agent themselves, fulfilling detailed briefs that cover all bases for the Client’s Media requirements.
